our story

the humble beginnings of Exodus WildSchool

Exodus WildSchool began 30+ years ago, as a dream. A dream of a faith-based, nature-inspired collaborative school that could be a shared journey with other families. A dream in which children led the way in their own educations & pursuit of their passions! The desire for this dream was reignited in 2015, when our Director’s family moved to Nashville from southwest Florida. After much prayer, planning, researching, relocating, & reminding ourselves of the desires of our hearts that our Heavenly Father purposed for us…

…that 30-year dream became reality in 2021.

Exodus WildSchool is a fully-immersive nature-&-faith-based homeschool collaborative, offering a thriving online community & multiple in-person campuses, with more to come.

We are humbly grateful to begin this journey with you.

Nature is an amazing teacher.

the roots of our learning style

Every child learns best when they’re outdoors, free to explore and discover at their own pace. The most powerful classrooms don’t have walls—and the most lasting lessons are often learned through unstructured play in nature.

locations

Our list of all of our current in-person campuses is located here. We are continuing to expand, so keep an eye on our socials (FacebookInstagramTikTok) to find out if we’ve added a campus to your area!

In an effort to safeguard our students and families, the physical addresses of our in-person campus locations are not published online.

If you’d like to utilize our forest school curriculum in your own home, or with your co-op or nature group, check out our WildCrew options! (We’re happy to help guide you in starting your own Exodus WildCrew Tribe as well!)

statement of faith

Our conviction is that the Holy Bible—originally written in Hebrew and Greek—is both authoritative and sufficient. We hold that YHVH (God) verbally and fully inspired the Scriptures and delivered them through Spirit-led men. Because of this, we trust His Word completely and believe it contains no error. The Bible is our foundation—our source of truth, instruction, and alignment in both life and faith.

“You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of YHVH your God that I command you” (Deuteronomy 4:2).

Our goal in shaping a faith-based forest school is simple: to neither add to nor take away from the words of YHVH. We strive to live out His Word just as He wrote it—allowing the Holy Spirit to guide us and His grace to strengthen us. While we do this imperfectly, our desire is to guard His commands by honoring Scripture exactly as He gave it.

We believe YHVH created mankind with intention—not by chance—and that He deeply loves and values every child. He made us in His image and desires to shape each of us into the likeness of His Son, Yeshua. We affirm the biological design of male & female, & recognize & refer to individuals accordingly in our program.

“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God, He created them. Male and female, He created them” (Genesis 1:27).

We seek to cultivate creativity and awe in our students—always pointing them to the Creator. Nature is a powerful teacher, but our worship belongs to the One who made it (Romans 1:18-32).

Salvation is a gift of grace—we can never earn it through good works or obedience alone. Our hearts are incapable of true righteousness without spiritual rebirth. YHVH, in His mercy, sent His Son, Yeshua, to take the penalty for our sins on the cross. Eternal life is possible only through Him (Ephesians 2:8-9).

We believe that those who place their faith in the Messiah and live for Him will spend eternity in the presence of our Creator.

holidays

We celebrate the Biblical holidays as part of our faith-based nature program, honoring Yah’s call to live set apart. The Father gave the Saturday Sabbath and feast days to all His children—not just to the Jewish people—and we joyfully embrace them as part of our walk. As believers, we know He has grafted us into this beautiful inheritance. The holidays we observe are:

  • Saturday Sabbath
  • Passover
  • Feast of Unleavened Bread
  • Feast of the First Fruits
  • Shavuot/ Pentecost
  • Feast of Trumpets
  • Atonement
  • Feast of Tabernacles/ Sukkot
